Returning for a new edition, TRANSHUMANT Festival is a socially committed film and photojournalism festival. Moving from town to town, it focuses on humanitarian, social and ecological stories that often struggle to find space in mainstream media.
The programme brings together documentaries, fiction films, shorts, animation and photographic projects all connected by a desire to open up dialogue and give visibility to people and communities who are too often unheard. Its itinerant format is part of the point: the festival travels through the territory, reaching villages, schools, older audiences, families, vulnerable groups and general viewers alike.
TRANSHUMANT treats cinema as more than something to watch, it becomes a tool for questioning and creating shared space around urgent realities whether that’s social justice, ecology, migration and everyday resilience.
