I had been looking for a nail salon in Barcelona when I heard about the Brazilian-owned Le Salon Vintage. Co-owners Alex and Juliana opened up this pin-up style, leopard print and gold-accented salon in 2012.
Alex, originally from São Paulo, explains that they designed their salon to make their clients feel at home. Alex’s specialty is hair treatments such as the Brazilian Blowout or Alisado de Queratina (starts at €59) and the Japanese Blowout (starts at €79) while Juliana’s is nails and hair. In addition to hair and nails, they also do makeup for brides and run makeup courses.
However, the best part of Le Salon Vintage, Alex tells me, is the small, secret patio hidden behind the salon where you can take a moment to disconnect and relax.
