Terranova is a publishing house turned bookstore and gallery space! New to the city, you can find this little treasure nestled away in Sant Antoni.
Yet, Terranova isn’t your typical bookstore. It sells a range of illustrated and nonfiction material covering topics as rich and diverse as art, cinema, fashion, photography, theory, counter culture and design, as well as some handpicked literary fiction books. What’s more, it keeps an extensive archive of rare books, artist’s books, photography books, comics and fanzines, in an ongoing effort to preserve and disseminate Spain’s marginal publishing heritage.
But that’s not all – there is a gallery space at the back of the bookshop dedicated to monographic exhibitions, most of them devoted to the presentation of their own small-run artist books and prints. They also devote a window display to a different artist every month. This is one place you could get lost in for hours – don’t forget to stop by and say hello!
