Besta

Food & Drink

About this place

Opened in February 2021 in Barcelona’s Esquerra de l’Eixample district, Besta has become a fixture on the city’s gastronomic scene.

Two chefs – Manu Nuñez from Galicia and Carles Ramon from Catalunya – have combined their cooking skills and the very best of the unique tastes from their respective home regions in this sophisticated restaurant, where ingredients and dishes change constantly, depending on the season. They’re mantra: To work with the pantry of their two origins – the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.

Set in a rustic, yet minimalistic setting, the restaurant offers a cozy oasis to sit in and enjoy the delights served to you. Some of the past menus’ specialties have included Galician oysters, Niguiri croquettes with sea bass, lobster rice, as well as roasted bream, carrot and sauerkraut. If you get the chance try their gorrión gin-based drink. Specifically created for them (GinBesta) it is made with algae and oysters. Delicious!
