A real hidden gem in the truest sense, La Caseta del Migdia is the kind of bar you’re not likely to happen upon without prior knowledge. Tucked behind the Castell de Montjuïc among the pine trees and boasting a great view of the sea below, La Caseta makes a perfect end point for a weekend walk. Not more than a few tables and BBQ sparingly scattered among the idyllic viewpoint, the bar’s charm is all in its casual and humble existence.
Open Wednesday to Friday nights and from midday at the weekends, pick your time right and you’ll either be treated to some laidback tunes spun next to a statue of Buddha or relaxing flamenco to soundtrack the night. April sees the venue embracing calçots season with a special deal including Moritz, botifarra and live gitano music all thrown in from 2pm.
